Flip a house!

I love TLC's Property Ladder! On this show, "real people" decide to flip a house for the first time, and a veteran flipper (Kirsten Kemp) gives them advice that they mostly ignore. Pretty much every line out of the flipper's mouth is a quotation to remember.

"Quick question [to person on the phone]. Which wall to I paint red? The one on the left or the right?"

"I'm going to get my regulars from the bar to help me."

"I'm not going to hire any professionals."

"The most I've ever done is change a light bulb."

"It's just money, right?"

"This is so me! [about a renovation aspect in a house the person is trying to sell to someone else."

"Crown molding is very fun!"

"I couldn't really say it is any style [answer to the question of what style the bedroom is]."

In reality the flip goes pretty well, even with all the drama of the voice-over and the expert.

I'd love to flip a house! Not going to happen, but still...what satisfaction!

The episode I watched--4 months, 68k before fees. She's using the profits to go to graduate school and take a vacation. Nice!

Of course I'm pretty sure most of these attempts are a complete disaster, a la' The Money Pit.
